I fell in love with Cafe Tamayo as soon as I walked in; from the old fashioned, belt-driven ceiling fans, to the interior wood decor, to the outdoor garden patio.  And then when I heard about their commitment to fresh, local and organic ingredients, I had high hopes and great expectations.

Those expectations were met in my first few bites...

The caesar salad was delivered on a chilled plate with lots of leafy green romaine.  The dressing was well balanced with no dominant flavor, and creamy - coating all the leaves.  There was no cheese grated on top, nor did I receive any fresh ground pepper, but the crisp, fresh flavor from the lettuce made up for that.  It was wonderful!  Not oily at all.  And the croutons were fresh and crunchy.

As simple as the salad was in presentation, it made up for in natural flavor.  Simply stated, it was excellent!
