Old Town in Alexandria is a wonderful place to visit, with lots of shops to browse, restaurants to visit, and parks along the Potomac to explore.  The Chart House waterfront location offers a wonderful escape from the bustle of a city.  The outdoor patio overlooks the river as well as the weekend entertainment on the boardwalk; an ideal place to just sit and relax (forewarning: it is very busy when the weather is agreeable).

The Caesar's Salad can be ordered with an entree, or purchased as part of their salad bar; I ordered it with my entree.  The croutons seemed  a bit soft; the cheese was interestingly cut in strings vs. grated or shaved; some of the romaine leaves were browning at the edges (yes - I shouldn't have been too surprised; it was a Sunday...).   The zesty bites were far and few between.  

I wouldn't rush back for more Caesar's, but I would return for another delicious salmon, the beautiful sun glistening over the water, and the warm breeze brushing over my shoulders as I sip my wine.
